About the logo:

The background of variome logo is Taegeuk (Great Absolute). Taegeuk represents the basic principle of object creation, combination of yin (-) and yang (+). It has analogy with SNP. SNP is usually bi-allelic. Humans with +(reference) or -(other) SNP alleles form objects, populations. The swirling means its constant change (dynamics ==> evolution)
